What is Climate Control Storage?

West Washington Self Storage offers both climate and non climate controlled units. For our climate controlled units the temperature is maintained between 50 and 80 (F) year round. Our non climate controlled units are protected from the weather, but are not heated or cooled.

Temperature extremes and high humidity are the leading causes for damage to goods in storage. Items such as paper products or business records can be destroyed by high humidity, and antique furniture is better stored in an environment from 50-75 degrees.

Unit Sizes and Rental Rates

We rent a wide variety of sizes. Our smallest units are great for storing boxes, clothing, or the content of a dorm room. Our largest units can hold the furnishings of one or two bedroom apartment.

How to Rent from Us?

First, please call or email us. We'll provide you with our current unit availability. If you would like to visit the facility, we would be happy to show you around.

If you decide to rent from us, we'll ask you to review and sign our rental agreement. We rent storage on a month-to-month basis. For your convenience, we can meet you at our main office (near Hilldale), the storage facility, or if time allows, mail the agreement to you.

Your first month's rent and security deposit (equal to one months rent) are required when the rental agreement is signed. We will ask to see a photo ID to complete the application process.


When Can I Access My Storage Unit?

There are three options for you to access your climate controlled storage unit:

  • The onsite office is always open on Wednesday from1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The manager will be available to assist you with the use of the freight elevator, or any other needs you may have.


  • We are also available by appointment, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. However, we usually do not open the facility after 6 p.m, and ask that you call a day before the appointment time.


  • Finally, we offer extended open hours to customers who are pre-approved through a background check. Extended hours are Monday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Access to the building is gain through the use of unique pin number and keypad.
